Size the harness so you can comfortably fit a couple fingers between the harness and your dog. You can adjust both the nylon strap that goes around the front chest and the strap that goes around the girth. Additionally, the strap between the legs can also be adjusted. Once you have sized the step-in harness on your dog, note on which side the adjustment clasps are on so you can determine the front from the back next time. To clean these nautical dog harnesses simply place in a mesh garment bag and wash in cold water on gentle cycle in the washing machine with a load of soft laundry. Air dry.
